Can I seperate newborn kittens from their mother?

my cat will be having her kittens in about 1 week, I have kitten formula, and I was wondering after my cat gives birth, if I would let her lick the sac open, lick it where needed, and eats the umbelical cord, if I could immediatly take the kitten from her with not my hands but a warm towel, and feed it the kitten formula, and keep it between a heated pad, and just leave it with the kitten bottle. Would that be okay? Would the kitten make it? I know that it could die or be rejected by its mother, but I wouldn't be giving it back to let the mother take care of it, since I am always home and don't mind staying up in the middle of the night for it. It would not get a chance to be near it's mother and I would keep the kitten with a warm towel ( I will definelty switch towels out every time I pick the kitten up), and keep it next to me in bed, and after the mother cat licks the sac open, licks the kitten where it needs to be licked, and eats the umbelical cord, the kitten WILL NOT be fed at all from its mother. please don't judge me because of what I'm saying, I just want to know.
