Ramadhan: what do 'muslim names' come from?

You don't have to change your name. I know many converts that haven't changed their names. Changing your name can be really hard because it's something you've grown up with, and part of your identity. However, some converts do like to change their names to a name of a Muslim figure, such as a Prophet or Imam. I guess it helps them identify as a Muslim? I honestly don't know, it's totally about each person's preference.
