What are those little bugs that are like mosquitos but A LOT more smaller ?

They certainly sound like gnats (also called midges). But those don't actually bite. They're very annoying. Taking out the trash frequently and keeping fruits and vegetables in the refrigerator or a container of some kind will help . :)
